This one was pure, unadulterated fun to paint. I wanted to lean completely into a quirky, slightly surrealist vibe while keeping that cozy, retro-chill energy I love. The absolute focal point has to be that bold pink armchair—and yes, that is a giant, hand-drawn eye cushion staring right back at you!
I had a blast playing with contrasting textures and patterns here. I paired a deep, patterned teal-blue wallpaper with a matte black fireplace, and then broke up the moody tones with a bright pink upper wall and a plush, tufted sky-blue ottoman.
