I went completely bold and high-contrast with this one. I chose a vibrant, textured burnt orange for the main wall to make the classic, dark lines of the fireplace and the deep green curtain really pop.
The absolute joy of this piece was using a fine pen to build up the intricate textures of the two woven cane tub chairs…they have such a great retro shape and bring an instant sense of warmth to the space.
Created with gouache and pen on watercolour paper, this original artwork is full of tiny hand-drawn details and layered textures.
