The Welcome Home

I absolute love painting entryways…there’s something so nostalgic about a hallway that immediately greets you with warmth and individual character the second you walk through the door.

For this piece, I went all-in on a rich, retro palette. I chose a vibrant, textured burnt orange for the wallpaper to contrast against a bold, monochrome striped rug and a deep green doorway. It gave me the perfect backdrop to feature some beautiful antique shapes, from the carved timber console table and patterned shield-back chair to that classic grandfather clock ticking away on the wall. Look closely through the arched hallway and you can catch a glimpse into the next room, giving the whole piece a lovely sense of depth and life. It feels exactly like stepping into a home with a story to tell.
